On June 17th, a Brentwood man was the victim of an armed robbery on Sonora Avenue. His car and personal items were stolen. On June 20th, his car was recovered in E. St. Louis, Illinois.
Evidence discovered in the car and further investigation by Brentwood Detectives Tim Bone and Rick Litschgi and Administrative Assistant Jason Oesterreicher led to the discovery of a suspect. On June 30th, a similar crime occurred on Pocahontas Avenue in Rock Hill. Investigators from both cities were able to determine that our suspect committed both crimes.
The St Louis County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office issued at-large warrants against the suspect, Montel Harkins, 17 years old, of E. St. Louis, for Robbery 1st and Armed Criminal Action.
