On Saturday, we received a call from an observant citizen at The Villas. She was watching a suspicious white Nissan drive through the parking lot at the YMCA. The occupants would periodically stop and look into the windows of parked cars. Brentwood police officers Nick Sieverling and Hattie Carman responded to the call. They stopped the car and spoke with the occupants. During their investigation, it was determined that the vehicle contained property that had been taken from vehicles in the parking lot of another area YMCA that morning. All three occupants were arrested for Possession of Stolen Property. It was obvious these three individuals were looking to steal from vehicles that morning. A citizen, paying attention to her neighborhood, took the initiative to call the police department, and prevent that from happening. Thanks to her phone call, and some good police work, crimes were prevented, and stolen property was returned to their owners.
